The Upside Down is officially open for business, and Nike, Converse, and Netflix are the ones holding the portal. Just ahead of Stranger Things’ fifth and final season, the brands are dropping a limited-edition collection that mixes supernatural energy, vintage athletic nostalgia, and Hawkins-weirdness into one of the most hyped collabs of the year.
This is 1980s Americana, possessed.
Footwear Built Like It Escaped Hawkins
The hero of the collection: a Nike Dunk Low that looks like it lived through multiple disappearances, a Demogorgon chase, and at least one power outage at the Hawkins Lab.
Worn leather, stained laces, a weathered midsole, logos flipped into the Upside Down, it’s basically a relic from 1987 that got dragged through a portal and came back “vintage chic.”
Next up:
- Nike Field General High
- Nike Air Max 1
- Nike LD-1000
Each silhouette channels the show’s iconic ‘80s vibe with Stranger Things marks, story-driven details, and packaging that looks like it’s been gathering dust in Hopper’s cabin for decades.
Converse Goes Full Hawkins Lore
Converse said “fan service” and delivered.
The Chuck 70 is a chaotic love letter to the show: distressed canvas, WSQK radio graphics, embroidered sound waves, Robin-coded quotes (“Beam Me Up, This Place Sucks”), a Hawkins Hawk lace jewel, Demogorgon patch, Hellfire Club tongue liner, and a rubber chicken keychain because, why not?
Bonus: two sets of custom laces and an Upside Down license plate.
The Converse Weapon is its own nostalgia moment:
Bold 1984 colorway, premium leather, distressed underlays, Stranger Things newspaper liners, soundwave perforations, and sock liners inspired by the Mind Flayer and Vecna. Custom jewels, including a lunch box and recording sign, make it feel like merch from an alternate universe.
Plus, Converse By You lets fans build their own Stranger Things All Star. Hawkins-core DIY.
