Velvet Nights & Sequinned Dreams

For Holiday 2025, H&M Studio dives headfirst into the drama. The brand’s most fashion-forward line turns the spotlight on decadence, rebellion, and theatrical flair. Think 1980s club culture reimagined for the modern main character, a mood that’s part glam rock, part couture fantasy.

Every piece feels like a scene: exaggerated ruffles, sharp-shouldered blazers, lace veils, and shimmering mesh come together to celebrate the power of expression. The vibe? Bold, cinematic, and slightly unhinged, in the best possible way.

The Power of Excess

This season’s palette reads like a designer’s dream after dark: black, deep burgundy, dark chocolate brown, beige, white, and a flash of acid yellow for those who like their statements loud. Materials range from washed leather and sequinned mesh to lightweight taffeta and structured jacquard.

Every look balances nostalgia and innovation, like a cropped tuxedo with open slits at the back, or a voluminous polka-dot cape ruffled to perfection. And for that spotlight moment? A beige sequinned bandeau dress drenched in ruching and pure attitude.

Tailored Chaos Meets Holiday Sparkle

Holiday dressing this year is less “polished perfection,” more “power play.”
Classic shirting gets a rebellious twist, tuxedo collars open wide, shoulders sliced out, ruffles taking over. Outerwear becomes part sculpture, part statement: a checked wool coat with its own scarf attachment, and a washed leather jacket that channels trench energy with rockstar soul.

Accessories finish the fantasy: satin kitten heels with oversized bows, velvet berets, ruffled lace gloves, and multi-strand necklaces that make drama wearable again.

New Romantics, Rewired

“The late 1970s and early 1980s was a time of pushing boundaries,” says Kathrin Deutsch, H&M Studio Collection Designer. “For this holiday season, we wanted to do the same, silhouettes are striking, volume is exaggerated, but nothing’s too perfect or pretty.”

That’s the charm of this collection: a little disheveled, a little divine. It doesn’t just ask you to dress up, it dares you to perform.

The Glamour Renaissance

Launched in 2013, H&M Studio has always been the brand’s most directional offering, the Stockholm atelier’s space for high-fashion experimentation. For Holiday 2025, it’s not just about partywear; it’s about owning the room.

Mark your calendar: available in selected stores from November 17 and online worldwide at hm.com from November 18.

Holiday dressing has officially gone high-drama, and honestly, it’s about time.
